Q-Leap SA acts as the data controller for all personal data collected through this website. Questions about how we handle personal data can be sent to hello@lste.lu.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate this website and communicate with our community.
Contact form
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we collect your email address only. Subscription is optional and requires your consent; you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
We do not currently run any website analytics or advertising tracking on lste.lu.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries: we use your name and email to reply to messages sent via the contact form.
- To send the LSTE newsletter: if you've subscribed, to share event and speaker updates. You may unsubscribe at any time.
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Legal basis for processing
- Consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)): for newsletter subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)): for responding to contact form enquiries from people who have actively reached out to us.
5. Data retention
- Contact form data: retained for up to 2 years from submission, unless an ongoing relationship requires longer.
- Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe; removed within 30 days after.
6. Third parties & data transfers
The Contact page and newsletter signup both use a plain "Email hello@lste.lu" button that opens your own email client — we don't process either through any third-party form service.
Our website includes an optional AI assistant that answers questions about LSTE. If you choose to use it, the messages you type are sent to Google (the Gemini API) to generate a response. Please don't enter personal or sensitive information in the chat. We don't use these conversations for advertising or profiling. See Google's Gemini API terms for details.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We do not use it for advertising beyond LSTE communications you've consented to.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact hello@lste.lu; we respond within 30 days, free of charge.
